Taking sovereign post-quantum networking to Europe with Austrade

VeilNet has been selected for Austrade's Quantum Mission Europe. From 26 October to 6 November we're meeting customers, investors and governments across five of Europe's major quantum markets, finishing at the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase in London.

Quantum Mission Europe is Austrade's business mission for Australian quantum companies, run with UniQuest and Quantum Australia. Over two weeks the delegation works through the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, with tailored programs in Finland, Denmark and Germany, and ends in London on 6 November at the UK National Quantum Technologies Showcase.

For VeilNet, it's two weeks of putting sovereign post-quantum networking in front of European customers, investors and governments in person. The timing couldn't be better.

Europe has set the clock

Europe has put a date on post-quantum migration. The EU's coordinated roadmap calls for high-risk systems to move by 2030 and the rest by 2035. In the UK, the NCSC has set 2031 for priority systems. For the organisations running Europe's critical infrastructure, the question is no longer whether to migrate, but how fast.

That's the problem VeilNet was built for. It puts post-quantum encryption on every connection an organisation already has, on the hardware it already runs, in minutes rather than a procurement cycle. There's no central server and no vendor in the loop, so the network stays under the organisation's control. That matters as much in Europe as it does at home.

A big few months

Europe caps a busy stretch for the team:

  • July. We joined the second cohort of NextQ, Quantum Australia's national quantum accelerator.
  • September. We released the third generation of VeilNet as a public pre-release, open for evaluation on seven platforms.
  • 26 October – 6 November. Quantum Mission Europe.
  • Late November. We pitch at the NextQ Showcase.

Meet us in Europe

We're booking meetings now. If you run critical infrastructure, defence or government networks, or you invest in sovereign security, write to sovereign@veilnet.net and we'll find a time in the Netherlands, in the UK or on a call.

Can't wait until then? Request an evaluation or read the documentation.

Thanks to Austrade, UniQuest and Quantum Australia for making this happen. More from the road soon.
